Ripple Drives Strategic Shift in APAC as XRPL Powers RWA Growth

Ripple’s Price Slips to $2.32 — Is This the Final Dip Before a Breakout?

Fiona Murray, Ripple’s Vice President and Managing Director for APAC, has shed light on how the XRP Ledger (XRPL) is driving a strategic shift as real-world asset (RWA) tokenisation accelerates in global financial markets. She noted that Singapore’s position as a hub for blockchain innovation makes it a key player in this transformation. Over the years, the country has attracted institutions and fintech projects eager to build in a compliant and secure environment.

Recent industry forecasts predict that the total value of tokenised real-world assets could approach $19 trillion by 2033. Among these, tokenised real estate is expected to hit $3.7 trillion, while tokenised equities could reach $2 trillion. Murray emphasised that this shift is not just theoretical market momentum is already building, especially in Asia.

Ripple’s Role in Driving Tokenisation Adoption

In a recent tweet, the official Ripple X account shared insights from Murray’s interview, further underlining how XRPL’s technology is advancing tokenisation adoption. Murray explained that as tokenisation gains traction, solutions that address compliance and security concerns are helping institutions embrace blockchain networks more confidently.

XRPL offers native support for RWA tokenisation through its built-in decentralised exchange (DEX) and established standards, including XLS-30 for automated market makers (AMM) and XLS-65 for lending vaults. These capabilities allow institutions to issue, trade, and manage tokenised assets at scale without depending on external layers.

Strengthening Infrastructure and Partnerships

Ripple continues to support XRPL’s core protocol development, ensuring its infrastructure meets institutional-grade requirements. Additionally, the company actively partners with major institutions and backs ecosystem projects that leverage XRPL for tokenisation use cases.

By combining advanced blockchain tools with institutional collaboration, Ripple is positioning XRPL at the centre of the global tokenisation wave, particularly in Singapore, where innovation, regulation, and market readiness align for rapid growth.
