Rebranding Announcement and Developer’s Enthusiasm

In an X post, the rebranded account, @PlayWithShib, urged Shiba Inu gamers to follow the new handle for the latest updates on Shiba Inu games. Shytoshi Kusama, reacting to this rebranding, hailed the change as an “epic move,” reflecting his enthusiasm for the project’s new direction. He expressed his excitement with the phrase, “Games Galore and more! LFG,” underscoring the positive momentum within the community.

Background of Shiba Eternity

For context, the @ShibaEternity account, now known as @PlayWithShib, was initially created in July 2022 to promote the Shiba Eternity game, which launched in October 2022. However, after the mobile game’s release, the account became inactive for over a year. It wasn’t until July 16, 2024, that the account resumed activity, breaking its long silence.

Since reactivating, @PlayWithShib has made several announcements, including the commencement of closed beta testing for Shiba Eternity. These updates have revitalized interest in the Shiba Inu gaming ecosystem.

The decision to rebrand was driven by the Shiba Inu team’s broader vision for its gaming ecosystem. Angel, the lead of Shiba Inu Games, shared in June that the team aims to expand beyond Shiba Eternity, creating a more interconnected space for developers, creators, and gamers on the Shibarium platform.

The Shiba Inu team is already working on several games, including Agent Shiboshi and Shiboshi Rush. Recently, they launched Agent Shiboshi for Android users, with an iOS version expected soon. The rebranding allows @PlayWithShib to serve as a central hub for all Shiba Inu gaming updates, rather than managing separate handles for each game.
