Crypto analyst Maxi believes XRP may be entering one of the most significant phases in its market history after completing what he describes as a successful breakout from a nine-year consolidation pattern.
In a recent post on X, the analyst shared a long-term XRP chart showing the digital asset breaking above a massive symmetrical triangle that has contained price action since the 2018 market peak. According to Maxi, XRP has now completed a “perfect breakout & back-test,” setting the stage for a potential move into price discovery.

PERFECT breakout & back-test 🎯
Breaking out of a 9 year consolidation.
The longer the base = the higher in space!

The analyst argues that the prolonged consolidation has created the foundation for a much larger rally, with his chart projecting XRP could climb into the $8 to $10 range before the end of the year.
Nine-Year Consolidation Appears to Have Ended
At the center of Maxi’s analysis is a large symmetrical triangle that has defined XRP’s price structure for nearly a decade.
The chart shows XRP repeatedly respecting both the upper and lower boundaries of the formation before recently breaking above long-term resistance. According to the analyst, the subsequent pullback successfully retested the breakout level, confirming the structure remains intact.
Maxi described the setup as a “perfect breakout & back-test,” suggesting the market has completed a key technical milestone that often precedes stronger upward momentum.
Analyst Targets $8 to $10 Before Year-End
A major theme in Maxi’s outlook is the relationship between long consolidation periods and future price expansion.
“The longer the base = the higher in space!” the analyst wrote while explaining why he believes XRP could be preparing for a substantial move higher.
His chart projects XRP advancing beyond its previous all-time high before reaching a target zone between $8 and $10. The projection is illustrated by a steep upward trajectory extending from the recent breakout toward double-digit price levels.
While the forecast is based on technical analysis rather than guaranteed market outcomes, Maxi believes the current structure supports a significantly higher valuation if the breakout continues to hold.
Utility Could Drive the Next Phase of Growth
Beyond the technical outlook, Maxi argued that XRP’s next phase could become increasingly driven by utility rather than speculation.
According to the analyst, a move into the $8 to $10 range would mark the beginning of what he described as “true price discovery based on utility.”
The view reflects a growing narrative among some XRP supporters who believe increasing adoption of Ripple’s payment technology, institutional participation, and broader use of the XRP Ledger could eventually play a larger role in determining XRP’s long-term value.

Community Highlights XRP’s Long-Term Use Case
Maxi’s comments received support from several members of the XRP community.
Among them was market participant PSB, who responded by emphasizing XRP’s long-term utility rather than short-term price movements.
“Utility always wins in the long run,” PSB wrote.
The response echoed Maxi’s broader argument that while technical analysis may point to the next price move, long-term adoption and real-world usage could ultimately determine XRP’s future valuation. Although the analyst’s price targets remain speculative, the chart has renewed discussion among XRP supporters about whether the recent breakout marks the beginning of a new market cycle.
